Beacon Therapies operates a pet grooming training program out of The Beacon Center. This program exists to bring the local community and our clients with different abilities together over a common passion – fur babies! Grooming for Good! offers pet owners an affordable option for getting their favorite pup bathed, brushed, or simply better socialized while supporting our mission of inclusion. Please call to make an appointment as we do not offer walk in options at this time. Click here to see details on services and how to book an appointment.

Beacon Therapies provides a variety of vocational training and skill-building opportunities through the IDEAS Shop. These work programs are multi-tiered, and the ultimate goal is placement within the community. Within the IDEAS Shop, clients may work in the following programs:
- Woodworking in the forms of woodburning or building small structures, such as bird feeders
- Photography and postcard design

- Crafting, such as creating canvas paintings or suncatchers to sell in the IDEAS Shop
Waters’ End Barista Station
Within the IDEAS Shop is a small coffee shop, Waters’ End Barista Station. Waters’ end serves the local community with fresh, gourmet coffees and teas while supporting the mission in education, employment, advocacy, and support of individuals with different abilities. Waters’ End offers a simple seasonal menu of coffee, smoothies, teas, and frozen yogurt to give clients thorough training in the foodservice industry to prepare for outside placement.
Growing FOOD
Fellowship – Opportunity – Optimism – Direction
Beacon Therapies assists clients in growing gardens in raised beds that are easily accessible and maintainable. These fruits and vegetables are then taken home to be enjoyed by friends and family or offered for sale at the Farmers’ Market next door. This is a wonderful vocational inclusion opportunity for clients to experience the joy of growing their own food, and community togetherness.
